Many of you may be wondering what “gypsy faith” means exactly. Don’t worry; you’re not out of the loop. It’s a term I made up when trying to describe my life. The dictionary definition of the word “gypsy” is described as a traveling person; a free-spirit. While I am not truly a “wandering” woman, I am a follower of God. While I was raised a Christian, it was only recently that I have truly, completely given myself to God. I have become a gypsy of my faith, meaning I am going wherever I see God calling me. Whether that be to going on trips with new people or moving across the country, after several years of trying to plan out my life I have finally realized that ultimately, it’s all out of my control.

Now, for some people this is a rather terrifying thought. To them I say: Have faith. If you are reading this and you also feel that your life isn’t going the way you want, then I challenge you to become a gypsy of faith as well. The way I see it, the worst thing that could happen is that you realize it’s not a lifestyle for you. Or you could realize that there are such big plans for you in this world; bigger than anything you could ever imagine. How is this possible? Because you haven’t yet completely given yourself to God.

So what do you have to do? Pray. Right now. Ask God to use you in any way He needs to spread His message and love to those that need. Pray that he will reveal to you your path and guide you through any challenges you will face. Now, wait. Keep your heart open to God and eyes open to opportunities. Whatever you are being called to do will become so clear, you can’t miss it as long as you remain aware and open.

Travel safe, gypsies, through this crazy journey we’re all on.

    I’m honored and excited to be so. It appears that you are new to the blogging world, but perhaps not so in writing?

    God can use our lives in wonderful ways, but for me, I think the biggest struggle is truly letting go. Either I’m not praying hard enough or listening well enough, but my direction is greatly undefined. Will continue to wait, though. Best to you on your journey 🙂

      Thank you so much for the support! It is greatly appreciated! I have found that for myself in times of struggle and healing, reading daily devotions really helped! It is a way to shift your daily thoughts and remember God has a plan and purpose for you. And maybe it’s not that you aren’t praying hard enough, but are praying for the wrong thing? I found that when I would pray for “a raise at work” or “a call back from a friend” I wouldn’t get responses. Now, looking back I have seen that there was a reason God didn’t answer those prayers. He had a different plan all together. “Faith is believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse.” Best of travels!

    I totally understand where you are coming from! I have learned that everything that goes on in my life, challenge or triumph is totally based on God’s will for me and I thank Him every day for that. It has made life interesting but very full. At the moment, my husband and I, after several years enjoying a debt-free existence owning our townhouse outright, feel God leading us to get a mortgage on a house for not only us but a young woman and her two children. She is like a daughter to us and we have been helping her with her kids. It is scary to go back into debt and will only do it when we know God is saying yes to where, when and how!

    Kind greetings gypsy…. I, like you was raised in the church (nothing more than religious duty, as was instructed by my parents) but when I was on my own, my life to on a gypsy spirit, sadly my walk was with the spirit of darkness. I trusted Christ when I was 28 year old, and 30 years later I found Him a faithful Saviour.

    I pray His rich blessing upon you as you walk and testify of Him on gypsylifeandstyle.
